Don't Get Between Me and My Shoes!

Tags: Nike
Going to the mall can be bad for your health, especially if you come between certain people and their newly released shoes. There were at least two incidents following the release of the new Nike Foamposite shoes, one in upstate New York and another in Maryland. It seems that some people really wanted to get their mitts on these $225 shoes.

In Maryland, Sheriff Douglas Mullendore told The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown the release of the new shoe drew shoppers from as far away as Washington, over 70 miles away. Mullendore also that they ended up locking the mall down and escorting a few people at a time into the store to buy the shoes.

Meanwhile, a couple of hundred miles north, The Albany Times Union reports that a crowd of around 150 to 200 people had gathered at a Foot Locker store at a mall in Guilderland for a chance to buy a new pair of Foamposites.

Guilderland police told the newspaper that the crowd rushed the gates at around 6 a.m. when it became apparent that there weren't enough tickets to the event for everyone who wanted to get in.

Snagging a pair of newly released shoes from the mall can turn out to be quite profitable. Simply get there for the release, buy as many as you can and then put them up for sale online. eBay is your friend.

However, if you really want a new pair, why not just skip the mall and the chance of getting your head bashed in and buy them online? You can find the Nike Foamposite online from Footlocker and you don't even need to get out of bed before sunrise.
