Harley Davidson Brando Review

The Harley Davidson company has built a huge business by being able to supplement their motorcycle revenue with a whole host of accessories. These accessories are inexpensive for the company to obtain and many Harley riders will happily buy anything with the name Harley Davidson included. This includes the obligatory large line of logo shirts and jackets to blue jeans and everything in between. One very important component of motorcycling gear that every rider needs to have is a solid pair of riding boots.

Boots protect the riders feet and lower legs in the event of an accident. Just as important, they protect the rider from exhaust burns and from road debris that could strike feet or legs while riding. There different types of boots for the different types of motorcycle riding, from street riding, touring to motocross.

The Harley Davidson Brando is an old school black boot which is fully in line with the cruiser lifestyle. The boots have a thick non-slip rubber sole, have an eight inch shaft to protect the lower calf and include a zipper for easy on and off. The boots also include a buckle and strap around the ankle to really highlight their old school biker style. The tongue, collar and the foot bed are all padded and provide a nice level of cushioning. The thick rubber sole and additional padding not only make them comfortable while walking but also help to absorb vibrations while riding.

These boots seemed to run about a half size large. If you normally buy shoes that are a little large to accommodate thick socks for those late season rides, you shouldn't need to do that with the Harley Davidson Brando boots. The extra thick sole did mean that it took more wears to get the boots properly broken in, however, once that break-in period was completed, they are extremely comfortable and look fantastic.
